BARLANDS OLD STABLE

(Sleeps 2 + cot)

 

Maddy and Nick are  pleased to offer 4 star 'Barlands Old Stable' for Self Catering accommodation, or on a Bed and Breakfast basis. (Unfortunately, due to a change of rules in 2007 by the Welsh Assembly, we have lost our 5 star grading for our self catering accommodation as we do not provide a bath and a dishwasher in Barlands Old Stable.) 

Located within the first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty  in Britain the Old Stable dates back 250 years and has recently been exquisitely converted to offer accommodation of the highest standard, combining contemporary chic elegance with traditional country cosiness. Barlands Old Stable is self contained and attached to the main house. It is ideal for couples. A perfect romantic retreat!

The Old Stable enjoys a beautiful  location and is all on one level. There are country views from all windows and is very private. The accommodation sleeps two and consists of a double bedroom, shower room and a living room with kitchenette. The living room has a vaulted ceiling and oak floor with French windows leading onto a sun deck overlooking guests' own private garden. A gas BBQ  is provided.

The accommodation is available throughout the year. A cot is also available for babies in arms only. Facilities include SKY TV/Video, radio alarm, washing machine/drier, hob, combination microwave oven and a fridge with freezer box.  We provide bed linen, towels, hairdryer, tea towels and a welcome pack which includes tea, fresh coffee, sugar and milk, a toilet roll,  black bin liner and washing up liquid! Kittle Village Stores is just up the lane for further provisions. Or pick up your goods from  Sainsbury or Tesco, which you will pass on your way through Swansea.

                                                                             

We are conveniently situated for excellent walking from the front door, a choice of four local pubs serving very good food within 10 minutes walking distance ( The Joiners Arms being an award winning micro brewery serving Real Ale ) and glorious Gower beaches a five minute drive away. Mumbles, a small Victorian seaside town, is a 10 minute drive. Swansea University is also a 10 minute drive. Swansea City a 20 minute drive and Cardiff is 1 hour away.

We do not accept pets, but there are two Dog Boarding Kennels and Cattery within half mile

Self Catering - Weekly stay from £270 - £475 inclusive

Short Breaks ( October-March) from  £170 - £215  inclusive

Cot and High Chair Hire - £10

Bed and Breakfast - £94 per night

Please read before making your booking

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • 30% non refundable deposit to be received within 7 days of booking, after which we reserve the right to cancel the booking

  • The balance is due no later than 6 weeks before arrival

  • If deposits or the full payment is not received by the due dates we reserve the right to cancel the booking with no refund of deposit 

  • You are responsible for full payment unless the booking is cancelled in writing more than 28 days before the let is due to start, when the deposit will be retained but the balance waived 

  • In the event of cancellation, we shall endeavor to re-let the accommodation 

  • The tenancy is normally on a weekly basis from 3.00 on arrival day to 10.00 on departure day

  • The tenant shall not sub let any part of the property or equipment

  • The tenant shall maintain the property at all times in a clean and tidy condition as equipped at the commencement of the let

  • Guests should report any damages or breakages and these are to be paid for

  • The number in the party must not exceed the number stipulated when booking

  • Smoking is allowed in the garden only
